Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain syndrome in the tendons, ligaments and other fibrous connective tissues in the body. This condition  is not due to tissue damage or inflammation.  It is fundamentally different from rheumatic disorders and many other pain conditions.  There are  numerous theories that are still being researched to find out what actually causes Fibromyalgia. A few theories include a growth hormone deficiency in the brain, the serotonin chemical level in the brain, stress, and traumatic experiences.
